Rules

for the Virtual Spring Show

RULES
  1. The show is open to any amateur (including non-members)
  2. Entries will only be accepted via an email which contains: a. The Entrants name. b. The Class to be entered. c. The photograph(s) being entered.
  3. Only one photograph per entry will be accepted for Classes 3 – 6 and two for Classes 1 and 2 (see Rule 5).
  4. No person may enter more than one exhibit in any one Class.
  5. For Classes 1 and 2 two photographs comprising a ‘face on’ and a ‘side view’ photograph should be submitted for each entry. One photograph for Classes 3 – 6 should be submitted and should be ‘face-on’ to the exhibit. All photographs should be against a plain background.
  6. Photographs must not be digitally enhanced.
  7. Photographs and the information in Rule 2 must be sent to californiagardenersclub@gmail.com after 9am on 29th March and no later than 9am on Thursday 1st April 2021.
  8. Prizes for each Class will be: 1st - £5 gift voucher for California Gardening Club Trading Hut, 2nd and 3rd – will receive Certificates. Winners will be notified by email and in the Clubs April newsletter.
  9. The Show Secretary reserves the right to refuse any entry which in their opinion does not accord with these Rules.
  10. Any matter not provided for in these Rules shall be dealt with by the Show Secretary at his or her discretion and whose decision shall be binding.
  11. The Judge’s decision will be final.
  12. By entering the Show you confirm that you, or a member of your household has grown the exhibits in Classes 1 - 5, or owned them for a minimum of two months.
Data protection
By entering, you agree to the Club’s Data Privacy Policy which can be viewed online at https://www.californiagardenersclub.co.uk By entering, you agree that CGC may publish or broadcast your name and/or photographs in any medium (including online, the local press and selected social media) No personal information will be passed to the Show judge. Personal information will be held by the California Gardening Club Chairman solely for the purposes of the California Gardening Club Virtual Spring show and will be deleted following the close of the show and the announcement of the winners.
